Choice                                       by Kyle Marks

Most people regard choices as a good thing, i.e., deciding what to wear on a particular day, what foods they will eat, or whether to get up in the morning or to just go back to sleep. More complex examples include choosing a lifestyle, religious affiliation, or political position. These decisions affect what a person thinks or what they believe in. But there are also choices that are bad. These choices could be picking the wrong friends, not going to work or just following the wrong path of life. There are unlimited choices that lead to confusion, regret, indifference and an unsatisfactory outcome.

There is a song that is entitled “Eternity has two” this song was penned by Doyle Lawson. Doyle is a Bluegrass artist born April 20, 1944 near Kingsport, Tennessee. Doyle grew up singing gospel music with his father, mother, and sister; a cappella music in churches and at revivals, and such.

When the melody’s been written, and the words have all been picked.
And you heard the spirit calling, through some old sacred hymn.
In the valley of decision, tell me friend what will you do.
This life has many choices,   Eternity has two.

This world and all its pleasures will soon be passed away.
The final invitation could be going out today.
You’re standing at the crossroad, and the saviors calling you.
This life has many choices, Eternity has two.

The straight and narrow way leads to life, the broad way down below.
What would it profit, to gain the world, and lose your very soul?
Tomorrow is uncertain; our days on earth are few.
This life has many choices, Eternity has two.

We too have two choices in our spiritual lives; We either obey or we don’t. The choice is yours!  It’s just that simple!

YES” there is a choice we all have to make. If we want to live in heaven with God we have to make the proper choice. The proper choice is to obey God, to hear the word, repent of your sins, believe that Christ is the Son of God, confess that He is the Savior, and be baptized for the remission of your sins!
