Hosea's prophecies are specifically directed toward the northern kingdom of Israel, just a couple of decades prior to the Assyrian captivity. The nation was in a state of spiritual decline and apostasy and Hosea's preaching was often directed to a people who did not want to hear and were not faithful to their God - what can we learn from it?
