Why Jesus Marveled (Luke 7:1-10)

Jesus is only said to "marvel" at something twice in scripture.  In Luke 7, He marvels at the incredible character and faith of the Roman centurion.  This may not seem significant to us at first glance, but remember this takes place at a time when the Jews were in subjugation to the Romans, and there was considerable ambivalence towards the Romans and their tools of dominion.
